Welcome to Olive’s Nursery
Rooted in Expertise, Growing with Care
What We’re About
When you’ve been doing something for over forty years, it’s fair to say you’re an expert! At Olive’s Nursery, we’re here to answer all your questions about lawn care, garden health, pest problems, plant issues, water gardening, and even Christmas trees. Give us a call or, better yet, stop by and meet our knowledgeable and friendly staff!
More Than Just a Plant Nursery
Our shop isn’t only about plants; it’s also a delightful gift store and boutique, thanks to the vision of Tommy’s mother, Mary Olive. Back in the 1950s, Mary started adding gifts to our offerings, creating a tradition that’s still alive today. Now, Debbie Olive has expanded this treasure trove to include:
-
Beautifully designed Christmas wreaths
-
Handmade soaps
-
Charming home décor
-
Fashionable clothing and jewelry
Whether you're looking for thoughtful gifts or something special for yourself, you’ll find it here.
Why Choose Olive’s Nursery?
When your landscape is ailing, you need an expert’s care. Over the years, we’ve helped thousands of West Texans revitalize their landscapes and gardens.
-
Troubled lawns turning yellow? We’ve got solutions.
-
Sickly shrubs or trees? We can help them thrive again.
-
Not sure what to plant? We’ll guide you to the flowers, shrubs, and trees that flourish in West Texas.
Our garden center also offers continuous flowering plants perfect for this area. We believe in working with nature to bring beauty to your landscape.
Tommy’s Organic Gardening Discovery
Over 30 years ago, Tommy Olive unlocked the key to organic gardening, learning that healthy soil is the foundation of a thriving garden. In the 1970s, after struggling to sell organic cures and native plants, Tommy turned his focus to the soil. This led to the creation of Olive’s OIL, a bio-stimulant designed to transform West Texas’ hard soil into fertile ground.
It’s been a game-changer for local gardeners ever since. For more information, explore our Organic Gardening section.
Thank you for visiting Olive’s Nursery. Be sure to follow us on social media for tips, updates, and special offers!

Idea:
Community Bible Study is a good way to understand the Bible, whether for the first time or the hundreth time. We start our study in August and follow the school year.
This year we will spend thirty weeks on the book of Matthew.
We have small groups for women, men, couples, and a Zoom group. We meet at the Heights Church at 6:30 on Mondays for about 1 1/2 hours. We take a Christmas break and start up again in early January and end of April. It's designed for beginners to experts, and for unbelievers who want to see for themselves if there's any truth in the Bible. CBS is really a self-study Bible study. Five days each week questions guide you into your personal study of the passage. We will start with the first word in chapter one and continue through the end. But we do it together also. We come to "class" and hear others' answers and give ours if we want to. I give a short talk and we dismiss. On Tuesdays you read a scholarly commentary on the passage. We are not a church or affilliated with any church. We are being transformed by God's word in order to be His disciples wherever we are. Call me, Tommy, at 325-895-1101 if you want to know more. (You can go to CommunityBibleStudy.com. Our class is San Angelo EVE. There is another great class for women-only that meets on Wednesdays around noon and includes children!)
"Regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interest of others." The Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:3-4
